Kennedy Agyapong, the member of parliament for Assin Central, has stated that the deplorable condition of Ghana’s youth is one of the factors in his decision to run for president.

He said that despite their educational background and skill set, the bulk of Ghanaian youngsters do not have meaningful work.

Ken Agyapong said in an interview with UTV that Ghanatodayonline editor was watching that he has now realized that his vision for the young and the nation as a whole can only be realized with him as president of Ghana.

“I’m a businessman, and so I am very creative when it comes to business. Over the years, I have advised on what should be done, but since I am just an MP, my views are often not taken”.

“And I have realised that the vision I have for Ghana will only come to pass if I am the one leading the country. And that is why I have decided to contest.

“I’m coming for this nation’s youth. I feel so horrible and ashamed that my American children start working as soon as they graduate from college.

So why do our children in Ghana have to stay at home for 6, 7, or even longer after graduating from college before they can find employment? ” Mr Agyapong quizzed.

He declared that one of his main objectives as president will be to offer Ghana’s young the opportunity they need in order to succeed.
