Christian Atsu’s one-week memorial is set to begin on March 4, 2023, on Saturday.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Sports Minister, and the family of Atsu discussed the issue before making a choice.
They talked in depth about the late Black Stars player’s burial rituals at his Accra home.
The representatives from the Sports Ministry and GFA were brought to express their condolences to the deceased family by the Deputy Sports Minister, Evans Bobie.
On February 6, 2023, a catastrophic 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck sections of Turkey and Syria claimed the life of the 31-year-old football player.
Last Sunday, February 19, 2023, the corpse of the late Atsu was transported to Ghana from Turkey.
After an 11-story building fell on Atsu and others in Turkey, his dead corpse was pulled from the debris.
