An official of Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has been electrocuted infront of Royal Park at Ahodwo in the Nhyaieso in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly in Ashanti Region.

He was discovered dead in the Ahodwo, still wearing his protective overall suit and carrying electrical cords. His body was discovered beneath an electric pole.

He was a member of a team working on the faulty wires, according to Ama Gyamfuah an eye witness.

He was later recognized as John a young man in his late 30’s.

His absence was noticed by his coworkers, who at first assumed he had left the scene due to the challenging nature of the task.

His body was found under one of the power poles after his colleagues heard loud burning sound from the transformer at the area.

It is believed that he was electrocuted because the pole he was working on had broken, exposing the exposed wire.
