At the crack of dawn on Sunday, July 2, a suspected thief known as Kwaku Atta was lynched in the Eastern region’s Obour Tumpan, Suhum Municipality.

According to some locals, the victim was murdered for petty stealing.

Hon. Enock Boahene, an assemblyman from a different municipality named New Juaben South, who represents the Nyamekrom electoral area, verified the occurrence on Afeema FM this morning.

The Assembly member claims that early on Sunday morning he received a panic call regarding the incident.

Later, he returned to the location and discovered the deceased’s motionless corpse, which was covered in leaves but was otherwise nude.

In order to notify the police to transport the body, Hon. Enock Boahene claimed that he immediately dialed the assembly member whose electoral area the incident occurred.

Around 9:00 am, when the assemblyman confirmed the news, Kwaku Atta’s lifeless body was still present but as of the time of filling this report the police has taking the body to hospital for autopsy.
