According to Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, the Presidential Advisor on Health, the government will not hesitate to cancel the contracts of contractors who put off finishing the Agenda 111 hospitals.

According to Dr. Nsiah Asare, the government will follow the schedules set forth for the construction of all hospitals.

He declared, “We will not hesitate to cancel or terminate any contract which is not doing very well.

Dr. Nsiah Asare said, “This is a project where we have at least provided a mobilization of at least 10% to all the contractors who have started work, and I feel they should start mobilizations to collect enough materials and work very quickly.

In 2020, President Akufo-Addo unveiled an ambitious plan to construct 111 District and Regional Hospitals throughout the country. The Akufo-Addo administration’s big plan for Ghana’s healthcare industry includes the Agenda 111 project.

In addition to 10 chosen regional and specialized hospitals, the project will guarantee that 101 districts would have access to hospitals. The government has already designated a sum of $100 million as project start-up money.

Each hospital will cost $16.88 million, with $12.88 million going toward building it and $4 million going toward medical supplies.
