Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a prospective presidential candidate from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has offered details on how his future administration would function if he were to prevail in the general elections in 2024.
He declared that he wanted to manage a small administration with just 40 ministers in control.
Dr. Apraku proposes to remove some ministries like Fisheries and Chieftaincy in his administration because he thinks Ghana can get by with just 40 ministers. He declared that as part of his efforts to restructure the government structure, these ministries would be eliminated along with others.
On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, Dr. Apraku emphasized that Ghana did not require a significant number of ministries and ministers in an interview for the 6:00 am news segment on Accra-based Joy FM.
He declared with assurance that he could efficiently run the nation with only 40 ministers.
