The country needs a strong leader to tackle urgent concerns including infrastructure development, social injustice, and economic growth, according to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He claimed that because he is a professional economist, he offers a special viewpoint, a set of skills based on evidence-based policies, and a practical approach to governing.

Talking to Africa Watch magazine, Dr. Bawumia noted that as a public servant, he had personally observed the obstacles the country faced as well as the enormous potential to overcome them.

“I am passionate about implementing innovative solutions to propel Ghana forward and improve the lives of all its citizens,” he said as a result.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, Dr. Bawumia, noted that Ghana shouldn’t fall behind as the globe rapidly entered the digital era.

He declared his unwavering commitment to using digitalization’s revolutionary potential to usher in a new age of development and prosperity for Ghana.

For me, digitalization is more than just a legislative goal. It is a cornerstone of my vision for our country’s future,” he stated.

The vice president declared that he was prepared to create a future in which the nation’s children would have access to high-quality education, a thriving and inclusive economy, and a society based on the values of justice, equity, and equality.

Responding to a question on his campaign slogan “It is possible,” and why he was running for President, the NPP flag bearer said “I am running for president because I am deeply committed to the progress and prosperity of Ghana and its people.”

He said “I have prepared myself for the job and I want to assure Ghanaians I am ready to serve with all my heart and energies.”

“Running for President is not just about seeking power or prestige. It is about service to the nation and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of our people.

“It is about solving problems, and I am a problem-solver, as evidenced in my work at the Central Bank and as Vice-President,” he emphasised saying “I am ready to lead with integrity, humility, and vision, and I am confident that together, we can build a brighter future for Ghana.”
