Former President John Mahama, if elected again in the general elections scheduled for December 7, 2024, will, according to President Nana Akufo-Addo, ruin his legacy.

He has thus advised Ghanaians to participate in the Electoral Commission’s present limited registration exercise if their names are not on the electoral list.

President Akufo-Addo said, “This is our election year and the limited registration has started,” and urged everybody who wasn’t registered but was eligible to do so during a rally in Dobro following his visit to Blue Skies Limited.

“This is because your right to vote is your power”, the president explained.

“When the time is up for the voting, our job is simple: the person I defeated and my work, since I took over, seems not to please him.” “I cannot hand over power to such a person”, he repeated, warning: “He will destroy whatever we have done when he comes” President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians.

Instead, he asserted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, his deputy, ought to succeed him as president.

“I am pleading with you to vote for the person I have worked with for the past seven and half years. I have faith in him and I know that he will come and continue the work I have begun as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”
