The suspended presidential Juaben Municipal Chief Executive nominee Alexander Sarfo Kantanka has been charged by the Special Prosecutor (SP) with 26 corruption charges.
The charges are in respect of the public election following a probe by the SP’s office.
Mr Alexander Sarfo-Kantanka is set to appear before a Kumasi High Court on Wednesday June 1,2022.
According to Mr Agyebeng verdicts, Mr. Sarfo-Kantanka gifted the elected Assembly Members GH¢5,000 each and Government Appointees GH¢ 2,500 each to influence their conduct in the performance of their duty as voters.
Last year November, the Special Prosecutor invited the rejected municipal chief executive-nominee for Juaben to answer questions connected to corruption-related offences after a video went viral demanding of his money from the assembly members.
