Dr. Kwabena Duffour is the greatest candidate for the National Democratic Congress going into the 2024 election, according to former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Anyidoho.

He claims that Dr. Duffour satisfies all requirements for the party’s flagbearer.

He made it clear that the economy is in a dire state right now and has to be fixed by someone like Kwabena Duffour, who oversaw the country’s finances in the past.

Samuel Koku Anyidoho stated to Kwaku Owusu Adjei(Patoo) on Adwenekasa on Accra-based Original FM 91.9 that “given the current state of the economy, which needs to be fixed, it is now appropriate for someone with financial experience to assume charge of the affairs of the country.”

He claimed that Duffour’s track record and composed demeanor will help him win the upcoming election.

In no way can Dr. Duffour’s experiences be equated to those of Mahama. Duffour is a better option even though he may be “trying” to rule Ghana. He has a specific past. He traveled with Mills and offered excellent economic statistics; he is a businessman who later accepted a post as a lecturer at Legon; and he served as one of the Bank of Ghana’s top governors,” Mr Anyidoho said.

He also stated that he anticipates winning the competition on May 13.

For the general elections of 2024, the NDC will choose a flagbearer and parliamentary candidates on May 13.

Former President John Dramani Mahama is being challenged by Dr. Kwabena Duffour, a former minister of finance, and Kojo Bonsu, a former mayor of Kumasi.

Former President Mahama has gotten widespread support from the NDC in the run-up to the election.
