Labianca Company CEO is dead

Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Labianca Company Limited, departed from this life.

She passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the International Maritime Hospital (IMAH) in Tema, according to sources.

This followed a brief bout of illness.

Ms. Asomah-Hinneh served as the Western Region’s delegate to the Council of State until her passing.

She has previously been a member of the GPHA Board of Directors from 2017 to 2021.

After being charged with offenses relating to corruption by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), Eunice Buah, who passed away, gained national attention.

The Labianca Group of Companies and the Ghana Revenue Authority’s Customs Division were the subjects of allegations of corruption and offenses related to corruption, which were investigated by the OSP and published in a report on August 3, 2022.

The OSP report, among other things, accused representatives of Labianca and the Ghana Revenue Authority’s Customs Division of different roles that resulted in the company that imports frozen foods getting a tax liability decrease.

Her husband, Nana Asomah-Hinneh (RTD), a former Tema Regional Police Commander and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), was left behind.
