Mahama reaffirms commitment to resolve Bawku conflict

President John Mahama promises to put in a lot of effort to bring peace back to Bawku in the Upper East.

The President pledged to maintain enduring peace in the region during a visit to Bawku following a meeting with the heads of security in Accra.

Additionally, the president gave the Bawku residents his word that the government will do everything in its power to bring peace and stability back.

“During the campaign, I stated that if God granted our desire and I was elected president, bringing peace to Bawku was going to be one of my number one priorities.

“So today is exactly one week since I was sworn in at the Black Star Square and it’s my first major assignment outside Accra and I decided to come and assure you that we are going to work very hard to make sure that we bring peace back to Bawku”, Mr. Mahama stated

The president’s trip to Bawku is an important step in tackling the problems facing the region.

The administration wants to give its people a more safe and prosperous environment, which is why peace in Bawku is a top priority.

Bawku residents and the rest of the country would be eagerly awaiting the president’s efforts to keep this pledge.
