A forty-year-old man who had been missing for a week was discovered dead in a bush at Boanim in the Ashanti region’s Sekyere South district.

Yaw Isaac, a married father of two, is said to have gone to his farm on Friday, June 3, 2023, and never returned.

On Friday, June 10, 2023, a family relative of the deceased, Kwame Yesu, told Otec News that the body had been buried after it was discovered decomposing with the head and arms amputated.

He claimed that before taking the body to the bush for burial, the police at Boanim had asked the family for GHC4,000.

When the Boanim Police decreased their first request for GHC5,000 to GHC4,000, he said, “we ignored them because there was no way we could find it.”

After contacting the community’s chiefs and members of the Unit Community, “we transported the decayed body from the bush and buried it,” he continued.

Kwame Yesu said that there was no suspicion of foul play because “his mobile phone, money, and head pan were all beside him.”
