A guy in his 60s was discovered dead in New Tafo (Krofrom), a Kumasi Metropolis neighborhood in the Ashanti Region.

In the early hours of Monday, June 12, 2023, a man whose identity was unknown to the neighborhood was discovered close to New Tafo Division School.

An eyewitness claimed that he observed the school’s security officer and another person carrying the deceased as they left the building.

He told Otec News reporter Nana Akwasi Acheampong, “I asked and I was told that he was sick lying at the school so they are assisting him to get taxi to be taken to the hospital.”

He opened his mouth, inhaled gently, and then stopped breathing as soon as they placed him by the side of the road. I put my hands on his chest and noticed that he was not breathing,” he continued.

He responded negatively when asked if the deceased was well-known in the neighborhood, saying that “many people from all corners have testified that they don’t know him.”

After they abandoned the man along the roadside, the reporter claimed that the security guard at the school was nowhere to be located.

Afia Agyeiwaa, the area’s Unit Committee chairperson, announced that a report had been filed with the New Tafo Police station for investigation.
