On Saturday, July 16, 2022, Michael Osei Boateng, also known as Pope, is expected to win the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Youth Organizer elections.
Research conducted by the Ghanatodayonline Research Bureau tilted Michael Osei Boateng to emerge the winner after the elections.
The results of the polls were predicted by the Ghanatodayonline Research Bureau to favor Michael Osei Boateng.
Our sources at the Presidency also predict that NPP Pope would defeat his fellow countrymen in the polls by winning eight (8) of the 16 regions and garnering a sizable number of votes in the remaining regions.
The regions that was tipped for Pope includes Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Ashanti, Greater Accra, Central, Western and Oti Region, the stronghold of Abanga was also strong in five regions namely, Northern, Upper West, Volta,Eastern and Western North Region.
The other candidates were strong in the remaining three (3) regions in Ghana.
The total number of delegates for the election would be 990.
The sample size of 660(2/3) delegate population that would cast a vote for the National Youth Organizer on July 16, 2022, was used in the research.
Without bias or favor, 648 delegates who were eligible to vote were questioned.
As a result, the results reflect what could actually occur on election day.
Delegates took into account the candidates’ qualifications, skills, and dedication to working with youngsters.
It was during this discussion that NPP Pope was selected as the election’s overall winner since the candidates with the best messages were thought to benefit both themselves and the party as a whole.
According to some of the delegates, they think the vice president of the Republic of Ghana Dr Mahamadu Bawumia will be the next flagbearer for the party coming 2024 general elections so they think voting for Abanga who also hails from the Northern Region will not help the party but rather bring apathy in some major regions in the country.
Others also used regional balance for the reason to vote for Micheal Osei Boateng Pope.
Most of the delegates said the party needs those candidates with experience in order to break the eight (8) year jinx and they think Pope is the only candidate who has occupy the Youth Organizer position in the regional level thereby making him the best candidate to lead the youth in this crucial time for the party.
Pope was the Regional Youth Organizer for the Brong and Ahafo Region.
For the Youth Organiser, Abanga Fusani Yakubu, Salam Mohammed Mustapha, Prince Kamal Gumah, and Michael Osei Boateng were recommended to stand for the position.
The Research predicted Pope to win the elections followed by Abanga Fuseini,Yakubu then Prince Kamal Gumah and Salam Mohammed Mustapha.
From Friday, July 15, to Saturday, July 17, 2022, the NPP will have its national annual delegate conference at the Accra Sports Stadium, where the party’s national executive officers will be chosen.
