The deadline set to the government to address its concern, according to the Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo) Trainees Association of Ghana, has passed.

As a result, the trainees have declared that they will picket the Jubilee House once more on September 6, 2022, until the government pays the arrears on their 10-month allowance.

The National President, Mr. Dennis Opoku Asiedu (Katakyie), made a statement on August 29, 2022, stating: “The ultimatum’s expiration has been exceeded by three days today, August 29, 2022.”

It emphasized that although the trainees’ departure date of Thursday, September 1, 2022, as declared by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta in the mid-year budget review, has passed, their allowance arrears have still not been paid.

Accordingly, phase II of the picketing will begin on September 6 near the “precincts of the Jubilee House,” according to the statement.

We will remain at the specified location till our underpaid stipends for the previous 10 months are paid, it continued.
