Candidates for the Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party are currently in a crisis meeting with the committee’s election planning committee.
According to Evans Agyei Sikapa of Ghanatodayonline, the meeting’s agenda is not yet known.
Since then, all aspirants have traveled to the meeting location, which was previously announced by the Master of Ceremony.
The Accra Sports stadium is crowded with attendees for the conference, which is yet to formally start.
Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters who have arrived at the location of the party’s National Delegates Conference are displaying symptoms of displeasure due to the event’s delayed start.On Saturday morning,the Conference was set to begin at 9.00am at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The stage,on which dignitaries would be seated,has not yet been set up of soon.The delayed processes may not bode well for the orderly conduct of the day’s events,according to several of the irate believers who were heard mumbling and complaining over them.
Former party General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong,Gabby Otchere-Darko,and other prominent figures have already at the Accra Sports Stadium and are mingling with other NPP supporters.
47 candidates have been approved and are vying for the party’s various national executive seats.
