Ernest Owusu Bempah, the NPP’s Deputy Director of Communications, supported Bryan Acheampong’s most recent political declaration.

He said that the Abetifi Constituency Member of Parliament’s remark was perhaps “deliberate” in response to political threats made by the major opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Otec FM’s afternoon political talkshow program, dubbed “Dwabrem” hosted by Prince Nii Ade (Dok Cash).

“We are issuing a warning to them,” he stated, responding to former president John Mahama and Johsnson Asiedu Nketiah. We also have the men, so we’ll match them boot for boot,” he said.

Bryan Acheampong was adamant that his National Patriotic Party will make sure to win the general elections of 2024 and maintain its position of power.

According to Mr. Acheampong, the NPP won’t enter the election properly prepared because it isn’t ready to cede power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He claims that the NPP has the men to compete head-to-head with the opposition National Democratic Congress in the 2024 elections.

On April 8, 2023, Bryan Acheampong addressed party supporters following a health walk through the main streets of Mpraeso. He emphasized that, “If the NDC tries to scare us, harass us, or do anything else stupid during the 2024 elections, we’ll prove to them that we have the men to handle it.

We won’t hand over power to NDC; it won’t happen. All means necessary will be used to keep NPP in power.”
