NPP writes to Alan Kyeremateng over recent health walk

The National Steering Committee of the ruling NPP wrote to potential 2024 flagbearer Alan Kyerematen on last weekend’s health walk organized by supporters in Kumasi.

The party mentioned in a statement that letters regarding similar campaign actions had been sent to other party members.

The party claims that the Trade Minister will be violating the party’s code of conduct by responding to inquiries over the large walk called “Aduro Wo So” that was arranged in his honor at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on Sunday.

The Pro-Alan Health Walk took place on August 13, 2022, a Saturday. Thousands of Ashanti Region supporters of the NPP participated.

The party claims that the organizers violated the party’s code of conduct for its presidential and parliamentary primaries.

“Under the instructions of the National Steering Committee, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has been written to in respect of the “Aduro Wo So Health Walk” that was organized in his name.”

Additionally, a prominent participant in the aforementioned health walk has been asked to come before the committee.

Consequently, during the National Steering Committee of the party’s meeting on Monday, August 15, 2022, attention was brought to these instances.

The Committee decided that Mr. Hopeson Adorye and Hon. Ekow Vincent Assafuah should be given invitations to appear before the National Complaints Committee in accordance with the party’s Code of Conduct.

Additionally, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has received a letter from the National Steering Committee on the “Aduro Wo So Health Walk” that was held in his honor, according to a statement from the party’s general secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, dated August 17, 2022.
