President Akufo-Addo accepts Agric Minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto’s resignation

The Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Minister for Food and Agriculture, has submitted his letter of resignation to President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who has accepted it.

This came after the Minister personally handed the President his letter of resignation at Jubilee House on January 10, 2023.

Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto was thanked by President Akufo-Addo for his contributions to the government and the country, and the president also wished him success in his future endeavors.

The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, has been given the responsibility by the President to serve as caretaker Minister in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture until a permanent successor is found.
