Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former minister of Trade and Industry and potential flagbearer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has presented a large donation to the Muslim community in preparation for Ramadan 2023 to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu.
The donation, which includes items like rice, water, tea, milk, tomato paste, sugar, and biscuits among others, demonstrates his dedication to making sure that Muslims in the Muslim community are fed during this sacred time.
On April 5, 2023, Flagbearer hopeful Alan Kyerematen presented the gift to Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu in his new Fadama home. According to Mr. Kyerematen, the donation is a component of his commitment to giving back to society.
“Even though I’m not a stranger, I’m also very glad to come and visit my father. I’m even more pleased when I visit during this period. Its is period for spiritual renewal even as we have come to seek chief Imam’s blessings for me specifically as I embark on this journey” Mr. Kyerematen said.
Mr Kyerematen has been tipped to win the NPP presidential race towards election 2024. The party has slated November 4, 2023 as the date for its presidential primaries to select a flagbearer for the general elections in 2024.
Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the Chief Imam, praised Mr. Kyerematen’s deed.
“The only one who can reward you is Allah. But we will also include your hope and desire in our prayers, so that God would grant your heart’s aspirations, according to the chief Imam.
Former NPP communications director Yaw Buaben Asamoa, former MP for Madina Alhaji Saddique Abubakar Boniface, former MP for Anyaa Sowutuom Hon. Dr. Kissi Adomako, national deputy coordinator Alhaji Kamel, constituency chairman Nana Boakye for Tema West, constituency chairman Mr. Nortey for Okaikwei Central, and other executives accompanied Mr. Kyeremateng.
