We will pick Kennedy Agyapong forms in grand style – Ken supporters at Bantama

Kennedy Agyapong, a Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central and prospective presidential contender for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has received a lot of support for his campaign, according to lawyer Ralph Agyapong, Kennedy’s brother and legal counsel.

Ralph claims that more than a hundred people in Kennedy Agyapong’s social circle have financially contributed to cover the cost of his presidential nomination forms (estimated at 50,000 Ghana cedis), demonstrating their support for his aspiration to become the president of the republic.

Ralph Agyapong highlighted the large amount of trust and faith that his brother has attracted in an interview with Okay FM on May 29, 2023, when he expressed his surprise at the number of people supporting Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign.

“The overwhelming support we have received for the forms is truly remarkable. I have never seen such before,” he stated during the interview.

More than a hundred people paid for Kennedy Agyapong to pick up his presidential forms, his brother said.

He also stated that the presidential form collection would be done in a magnificent manner.

“For the forms, we will pick it in grand style, and the people who have paid for the forms are more than a hundred,” he said.

“We are at the Bantama constituency, and we will be coming in grand style,” he promised.

Five potential flagbearer candidates have acquired their nomination paperwork to run in the election. They consist of; Boakye Agyarko, a former minister of energy, was the first to pick up candidacy forms for the party’s primary elections.

Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former legislator, also picked his forms.

Last Friday, nomination papers were picked up for both former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and former MP Francis Addai-Nimoh.

Finally, on May 29th, Dr. Owusu Afriyie, a former minister of food and agriculture, personally selected the forms.

Other significant individuals, such as Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia picked his forms today and Alan Kyerematen, is anticipated to file his candidacy in the coming days for the election, which is scheduled for November 4, 2023.
