The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has promised that if he wins the forthcoming elections on December 7, he will recruit youthful leaders to his cabinet in order to herald in a new age of administration.

According to him, this ground-breaking project the first in Ghana’s political history aims to represent the country’s youthful population in its highest decision-making body.

Mahama underlined the importance of this representation, saying that the youth’s energy and viewpoints are crucial to the cabinet’s makeup in order to reflect the demographic majority of the nation.

“One of the promises I leave you young people with is that the NDC cabinet post January 7, 2025, is going to be averagely one of the youngest cabinets in the history of this country.

“If you look at the demographics of our country and you know that the majority are young people then definitely if you’re setting up a cabinet, young people must be the majority in that cabinet,” Mahama added.
