Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the recently elected National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, was warned by State Transport Corporation Chief Executive Officer Nana Akomea to watch what he says.
In order to beat Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the immediately preceding National Chairman, Mr. Asiedu Nketia received 5,569 votes, or 65.17% of the total vote.
Asiedu Nketiah said the following in his first speech following the NDC congress: “We are prepared to sacrifice everything; and I mean everything, including our lives, to achieve victory.”
“Wherever impunity becomes law, resistance becomes a duty.”
“Looking at the array of executives elected today, I have no doubt the party wants us to carry the battle to the elephant. We cannot let the country, and we cannot let the party down,” Asiedu Nketiah stated.
However, Asiedu Nketiah, often known as “General Mosquito,” made certain remarks that Nana Akomea is not too excited about.
In response, Nana Akomea urged “General Mosquito” to hold off from making such inciting
remarks on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” broadcast monitored by Ghanatodayonline.com.
“He should watch his words carefully if he wants his chairmanship to be successful. I heard him say we’re prepared to sacrifice our lives. Asiedu Nketia, nobody in Ghana wants you to lose your life,” he added.
Before the elections in 2024, he urged the NDC to complete their work “Simply start your collation.
Make sure your collation is completed before the election.
At each voting place, you have agents who are given their pink sheets. Compile the findings that are on the pink sheets “.
