Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, a Member of Parliament (MP) representing Sagnarigu, has stated that his loss in the parliamentary primaries on May 13 came as a shock.

He claimed that after engaging with his residents, he received confidence that he would be kept on due to his successful work in the area.

Sincerely, I think that my supporters have always placed their trust in me. The fact that they openly assured me that I had done a good job for them and that they would repose faith in me and give me another mandate left me with absolutely no doubt that they would support me when I went around and met them.

He further stated that he accepts the results in their entirety and is prepared to work to ensure that the NDC keeps the seat in the general elections because the NPP is undeserving of it.

“I don’t want to sound like a bad loser but I think that so many untoward things happened. As a party person, I don’t want to put my party on the line, but I believe I discharged myself very well. I accept the full verdict as given by the people of Sagnarigu, and I will do whatever it takes for the party and its supporters to retain the seat for the NDC. The NPP does not deserve an iota of support from the NDC,” he said this in an interview with Nimatu Yakubu Atouyese monitored by Ghanatodayonline.com.

Alhassan Bashir Fuseini, also known as Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, lost the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primary held on Saturday and will not be re-elected to the Parliament in 2025.
