Dr Kwabena Duffour has called to congratulate me for my 98.9% victory – Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) presidential candidate, has claimed that Dr. Kwabena Duffuor called to congratulate him on his victory.

The former president of Ghana tweeted about this and revealed that Kojo Bonsu, the former mayor of Kumasi, and the former minister of finance had both contacted him to congratulate him on his victory.
“Both Dr. Kwabena Duffour and Kojo Bonsu have called to congratulate me for my 98.9% victory in Saturday’s presidential primaries. 

“The contest is over. Cooperation is what we need to build #TheGhanaWeWant,” he tweeted. 

With a total of 297,603 votes, or 98.9% of the vote, John Mahama won the NDC’s recent presidential and parliamentary primaries with a resounding victory.

Dr. Kwabena Duffuor announced a last-minute withdrawal from the contest prior to the Saturday, May 13, 2023, elections.
