President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has retaliated against people in the Ashanti Region who he claims are his critics.
He contends that there is sufficient evidence to show that the Akufo-Addo administration has benefited the Ashanti Region’s growth, therefore it cannot be stated that it has not done enough for the residents.
Such critics, according to the president, will be embarrassed.
“For those who speak ill about me; I will put you to shame today, tomorrow and the day after”, he stated.
During the Suame Interchange’s sod-cutting event, the President made the remark.
Nana Akufo-Addo asserts that despite the nation’s current difficulties, a reversal is inevitable.
The president acknowledged the current challenges facing the nation but added, “Inspite of the current challenges confronting the country which I know will be over soon, I continue to be excited about the prospects ahead. And I urge all to join hands to build the Ghana we want”.
Regarding the 4-tier interchange project, the president emphasized that work will be finished on schedule and that the contractor has been warned to ensure that passenger traffic is not impeded.
Following comments he made in an interview with Otec FM Nyansapo Morning Show host Andrews Akuoko Korankye (Captain Koda) regarding residents of the Kwabre East Constituency’s requests to have their road fixed, the President has come under fire.
However, speaking just one day after the controversy, President Nana Akufo-Addo stated that the government is committed to giving Ghanaians access to good roads.
