I’ll not protect your ‘legacy’ of corruption, misgovernance, arrogance, ineptitude, bankrupt economy – Mahama to Akufo-Addo

John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for election 2024, has retaliated against President Akufo-Addo for his request that Ghanaians abstain from voting for him in the general election scheduled for December 2024.

Concerns were raised by President Akufo-Addo that the advancements gained during his administration would be compromised if Mr. Mahama were elected.

Following his visit to Blue Skies Limited, the President reaffirmed his support for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the best candidate for president during a small rally in Doboro, Eastern region.

He emphasized how he thought Bawumia would carry on the growth trajectory he had established while his presidency.

In response to President Akufo-Addo’s social media comments, Mr. Mahama stated that he would rather not to carry on Nana Akufo-Addo’s legacy of corruption, misgovernance, arrogance, ineptitude, and a faltering economy.

Mr. Mahama drew attention to the negative consequences of President Akufo-Addo’s policies, emphasizing how the present administration has increased poverty in Ghana.

He emphasized his dedication to promoting inclusive growth and bettering the lives of residents.

“Of course, I will not protect your ‘legacy’ of corruption, misgovernance, arrogance, ineptitude, bankrupt economy, increased unemployment, and pushing more of our people into the poverty bracket,” Mr Mahama posted on his Facebook wall.
