NDC Chairman shot and killed in Twapiase, Central Region

The alleged armed robbers have assassinated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Branch Chairman for Dunkwa-Kadadwen Nkansah Daaho “B” in the Upper Denkyira East Constituency of the Central Region.

According to information gathered by media, on Thursday, May 4, 2023 evening, Emmanuel Acquah, 36, was driving two Chinese gold dealers from a gold mining site on the Tweapiase-Obuase road in the Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region when five suspected armed robbers approached the vehicle and began shooting into it.

The NDC Chairman was shot in the process, instantly killing him.

As soon as the door was opened, the Chinese nationals inside the car fled into a nearby bush.

The alleged robbers then fled with an unknown sum of cash and gold.

The deceased’s body has already been placed in the morgue at the Obuasi-Mangoase Government Hospital.

The incident is the subject of a police investigation.
