NIA announces new charges for registration services from May 1

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has revealed its intentions to increase the cost of its registration services.

The increase will be implemented on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

This choice complies with the terms stated in L.I. 2481’s ‘Fees and Charges’ (Miscellaneous Provision Regulations, 2023) regulations.

The authority has issued a cost change that would affect anyone who want to update their current information or apply for Ghana cards, which are national identification cards.

It is recommended that citizens be aware of the anticipated changes and make appropriate plans for any needs related to registration or information updates.
