National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama expressed dissatisfaction over the Akufo-Addo, Bawumia government’s disregard for important projects that were started during his administration.
If the NDC was brought back to power, Mahama promised that the party, which is well-known for its dedication to resource distribution fairly, would continue to make sure that national resources were distributed equally throughout all areas.
After the party’s major festive season activity, a 24-hour economy walk in Kwahu, these remarks were given to party supporters.Mahama chastised the NPP for abandoning and deteriorating projects that were started under the NDC administration and failed to see them through. He made it clear that the NDC does not support discrimination.
“I am very sad,” he said. If you saw the Abetifi Hospital today which was built at a rate of almost 70% you will be depressed and cry. The NPP government has been wicked towards Ghanaians.”
Mahama reaffirmed that if elected to power, he will give the needs of young people top priority.
In order to establish a distinct Youth Development Ministry, he also suggested dividing the Youth and Sports ministry.
He said that by doing this, he would highlight the value of youth involvement and provide job possibilities for them, which would be essential to his 24-hour economic effort.
Mahama expressed worry over the ministry’s present emphasis on sports at the expense of the young people for whom it was intended.
