Three Nkrumahist political organizations have begun negotiations to band together in an effort to unseat the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The Convention People’s Party (CPP), the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), and the People’s National Convention are the three Nkrumahist parties (PNC).
On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Nana Ofori Owusu, the PPP’s national chairman disclosed this to the newsmen.
He asserts that the Nkrumahist parties must come together in order to conduct the general elections in 2024 in unison.
Political groups known as “Nkrumahists” adhere to the ideas and values of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He criticized how the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has run the nation’s affairs under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and said that the major opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not a trustworthy option.
He said that the NPP/NDC will not benefit Ghanaians and that only the Nkrumahist party has a history of advancing the nation’s industrialization program, as seen in the First Republic.
