In the Convention People’s Party (CPP) presidential primary, Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah triumphed, guaranteeing her position as the party’s standard bearer for the general elections of 2024.
A total of 1,360 votes were cast at the conclusion of the voting procedure. Yaw Anokye Frimpong, Nana Kumankumah’s opponent, earned 586 votes, while Nana Kumankumah received 763.
Eleven votes were not rejected.
During her post-election address, Nana Kumankumah emphasized the need of maintaining party cohesion and urged all members to unite in order to forge a stronger front in the next elections.
Regional capitals throughout the nation hosted the election, which was overseen by the Electoral Commission (EC).
