Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, claims that his confidence in the NPP’s overwhelming victory in the December elections has grown as a result of his campaign tours around the nation.

He claimed that because the NPP administration fulfilled its pledges to the people during the 2020 elections, the public had faith in its programs.

During a small rally held Tuesday in the Okaishie Market in the Odododiodio Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bawumia said, “Inshalla, Inshalla, Inshalla, the NPP will win the December 7 Election.”

He cited the government’s implementation of the Free Senior High School program as a prime example.

He claimed that although the opposition NDC considered the FSHS program to be “impossibility” the NPP government overcame all obstacles to put it into effect.

In order to help merchants and the business sector, Dr. Bawumia stated that his administration will adopt the flat rate tax system and the Women Trade Empowerment Program if elected in the polls on December 7.

As part of his meet-and-greet, the NPP Flagbearer stopped by the Mamprobi Tuesday Market and spoke with vendors.

Mr. Stephen Ntim, the Party’s national chairman; Mr. Samuel Sarbah Lartey, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma South; and other NPP constituency executives joined Dr. Bawumia.

The market women greeted the NPP Flagbearer with applause and yells of “It’s Possible” and “Number One.”

Dr. Bawumia traveled from Mamprobi Tuesday Market to the Odododiodio Constituency’s Makola 31st December Market, where he gave vendors warm embraces and shook hands.

With chants of “Dr. Bawumia is Number One, it’s possible, Free SHS, Agenda 111, among other accolades,” some of the vendors brandishing NPP signs and mementos cheerfully and excitedly waved to them.

The NPP flagbearer and his group also visited Accra’s Central Business District’s Kantamanto Market, where the majority of the vendors sell used clothing.

The “meet-and-greet” session has emerged as a key component of Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, as he takes advantage of the chance to speak with prospective voters face-to-face and strike up a conversation with them during Ghana’s general elections on December 7, 2024.

When the NPP Flagbearer arrived to the Okaishie Market at around 11:10 a.m., the rain temporarily delayed the meet-and-greet.

Despite the rain, the NPP flagbearer persisted in his campaign and went to the Party’s Campaign Call Center in Ridge to speak with constituents over the phone.

The Bawumia Campaign Team established the Call Center as a means of educating the public about its policies over the phone.

When Dr. Bawumia visited the traders at each market center, the onlookers greeted him with open arms and acknowledged some of the social initiatives and policies of the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
