Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang became ill unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2025, and was treated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
She attended UGMC on Saturday after the unanticipated health crisis, according to a statement issued by the Presidency’s Communications Directorate on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Medical professionals have recommended that the Vice President seek additional treatment overseas to guarantee her full recovery, according to the statement, which was signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Minister for Government Communications.
“We extend our best wishes to the Vice President for a speedy recovery,” the statement added.
