Police have launched a manhunt to find and apprehend those responsible for the attack and property damage at the Tamale office of the Northern Regional National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Tuesday’s demonstration was in opposition to the choice to allow Ali Adolf, one of the party’s vice chairs, to serve in the chairmanship role.
When the kid arrived to the party office, he told everyone inside to leave and locked everything up.
The police promised in a statement that all of the offenders will be brought to justice.
They have also asked all citizens to settle their disputes through peaceful methods rather than using violence.
Following the passing of the party’s chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila, the regional leadership of the party decided that Mr. Adolf would serve as acting chairman.
After a brief illness, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
