The Auditor General’s Report on the Public Accounts of Ghana’s Technical Universities and Polytechnics for the period ended December 31, 2019, will be discussed during the Committee’s Zonal Public Hearing, which has arrived in Takoradi.
The Committee is also anticipated to take into account the Auditor General’s reports on the administration and use of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund and other Statutory Funds for the fiscal year that concluded on December 31, 2019.
The Auditor General listed the following violations in the various institutions that were brought before the Public Accounts Committee: irregularities in the procurement process, the state and method of accounting, the failure to submit annual financial statements, the collection of illegal fees, and the sale of unaccounted-for store items.
Western, Western North, and Central are the regions being examined.
The Committee is scheduled to wrap up its work on September 16, 2022.
