Three people are detained on suspicion of killing a 15-year-old girl in Konongo

In connection with the murder of 15-year-old Regina Sarfo at Ahenbrom in Konongo, Ashanti Region, three people have been detained.

The three accused are now helping the police with their inquiries into the girl’s slaying.

The girl’s body was discovered on September 8, 2022, dumped in a thicket in the Konongo area of Ahenbrom.

The body of the girl was taken to the Stewards Hospital Morgue for preservation and forensic analysis after a crime scene investigation.

The family of the deceased has subsequently met with the Police Regional Command, and IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has called the family to express his condolences.

The IGP also promised the family that the Police would provide the help they require.

Since then, police clinical psychologists have started providing psychosocial support to the family while inquiries are still ongoing.
