Reports that Cynthia Mamle Morrison, the Member of Parliament for Agona West, has decided not to run as an independent in the next elections have been refuted by her office.
The Office of the Agona West MP stated on Tuesday, October 22, that the claims were “false and do not reflect the Hon. MP’s current position or intentions.”
The statement claims that Cynthia Morrison “has not made any such announcement retracting their decision to run independently and remains committed to serving the constituents.”
“Her foremost priority continues to be championing the needs and aspirations of the people… providing sustainable development and inclusive governance,” the MP said, underscoring her commitment to enhancing life in Agona West.
For reliable information, the agency advised the public and media to ignore “baseless claims” and instead depend on official pronouncements and vetted sources.
In addition, Cynthia Morrison advised supporters to “be alert and avoid falling for propaganda or false information that is intended to mislead the electorate.”
