Sammy Gyamfi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s national communications officer, has promised to reply to the misinformation George Opare Addo, the party’s newly re-elected national youth organizer, has spread against him.
Sammy, a member of the party who steadfastly supported Opare Addo’s opponent Brogya Genfi, said he did not break any laws by doing so before the election.
Sammy Gyamfi called out George Opare Addo on Twitter and said that he will answer to his accusations at the appropriate time.
“Georgeoaddo I committed no crime in supporting @BrogyaGenfi over you in the just-ended NO elections. If this is the route you want to take, then bring it on. At the right time, you will get a befitting response to all the lies and gibberish you have been spewing since yesterday,” Sammy Gyamfi tweeted.
Sammy Gyamfi publicly advocated for Yaw Brogya Genfi to be chosen as the National Youth Organizer before the NDC National Women and Youth Congress.
At the end of the congress, George Opare Addo defeated Bronya Genfi by a margin of 25 votes.
In an interview with Opare-Addo, he expressed dismay over Sammy Gyamfi’s support for another candidate over him and said that all attempts to make amends before the elections appeared to have failed.
