Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) nominee for General Secretary, has urged party members to pursue a civil campaign free of personal attacks.
The Deputy General Secretary has started his nationwide campaigning for the role of substantive general secretary to succeed Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
Speaking to delegates in Bono Region, the agricultural economist urged party supporters to back their different candidates without criticizing the opponents’ personalities and to instead promote their message to persuade the delegates on how to bring the NDC to power in 2024.
“We want to win power, we’re not each other’s enemy, we must be united together to defeat the NPP and reward our people and the country at large,” he said.
To the delegates from all of the constituencies, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor has been detailing his “10-point plan for power 2024” speech.
He advocated for a unified party rooted on the solid basis of electoral machinery, the reward of party members, and strengthening the NDC by creating a constituency-based business support unit for the party as part of his message.
He said that party members must band together and strive relentlessly to overthrow the Akufo Addo/Bawumia leadership’s disastrous NPP administration.
