Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has demanded that Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta be fired.
The NDC Communications Officer also requests that Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia be dropped from the purportedly “solid” Economic Management Team by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to journalists at a press conference on August 3, 2022, in Accra.
First on the list, without a doubt, is Ken Ofori-Atta, who has demonstrated to be an absolute failure in terms of economic management, according to Mr. Gyamfi.
President Akufo-cousin, Addo’s in his opinion, “has ran down our economy by expensive borrowings but his personal corporate data bank profits,”
Additionally, he berated the Finance Minister, likening him to “stale water in a bottle.”
The sooner President Akufo-Addo fires his underperforming relative, the better for the economy and for all of us, said Mr. Gyamfi.
Vice-President Bawumia was described as “jocular” by the NDC Communicator.
“The previously so-called strong Economic Management Team has now become a gracious team who have forsaken their positions and are nowhere to be found in these difficult and vital times,” he blasted Dr. Bawumia.
It’s about time our drained, stupid, inept, and hilarious vice president is finally fired so that fresh perspectives and capable hands may take over and lead the Economic Management Team through this period of unimaginable suffering.
